LAUDERHILL — Even though the Powell family lost part of their home to a fire on Wednesday, they appeared joyful and thankful.
That's because the family's 5-year-old dog, Poochie, is alive — thanks to a team of Lauderhill firefighters who rescued the pooch from the burning home and revived her Wednesday. The dog will join the family for their Thanksgiving feast.
