Hardly a dog's life for two pooches named Sunny - New York Daily News

Sunny (right) now shares the White House lawn with the Obamas' older dog Bo. Both are Portuguese water dogs.

One’s in the White House. The other’s on the Great White Way. They’re both named Sunny — but only one can be top dog.

America fell in love with the First Family’s brand-new Portuguese water dog this week as she playfully ran around the South Lawn. Sunny soaked up the spotlight and instantly shot to stardom.

But New York City already has its own prominent pooch: Sunny, who plays Sandy in Broadway’s “Annie.” The starlet regularly rubs shoulders with the likes of Jane Lynch, Jon Stewart, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Dave Grohl.

And she’s not too much of a diva to offer tips to the other Sunny on her new-found fame.

“Always face the camera — the lens makes your tail look bigger that normal,” advises the canine actress, through her guardian.

Here, the famous furballs face off in our tail of the tape.
