Robbyne Manning, Dominic's legal guardian and a former contestant on 'America's Next Top Model,' was amazed by the boy's survival skills.
“I heard them calling my name. I was scared to come out,” Dominic told WREG.
“He said he heard us and saw the blue lights and thought he was in trouble,” his legal guardian Robbyne Manning, a former contestant on "America's Next Top Model," told ABCNews.com. “When he used to be with his parents, blue lights mean you’re in trouble.”
Dominic kept Coco close to him to keep himself warm. When the boy noticed his dog was cold, he returned the favor, taking off his jacket to keep Coco from freezing. Eventually, he let Coco off the leash so that she would go home and get help.
