Man, dog burned in explosion at pet grooming trailer

A man suffered first- and second-degree burns to his upper torso Monday morning when a flash fire caused an explosion in a mobile pet-grooming trailer that was parked outside a home near Hagerstown, fire officials said.

Brandon Boyer was flown by a Maryland State Police helicopter to Johns Hopkins Bayview Burn Center in Baltimore, according to a news release from the fire marshal’s office.
