An abandoned shaggy dog is back to his pedigree self after being saved from the streets of Montreal.
The poor Cavalier King Charles pup was spotted by a driver last week caked in filth and desperately scavenging for food.

With his coat dangerously thick, rescuers from the Quebec Society for the Protection of Animals at first thought the hobo pooch was just a pile of trash.

The lucky pup s is back to his pedigree self after a little TLC.

Taking him in, they gave him a serious bath.
They then unleashed the razor on him to shave off his fur, being careful not to scare the canine who appeared "scared" and "nervous."

And in a matter of moments he was completely transformed, reports Daily Entertainment.
There's no word on the dog's current status.
